This is a perfect change 2. It is a permanent change. B. Salvation's permanence is based on the continuation of "everlasting life." 1. The quantity of such life 2. The quality of such life C. Salvation's permanence is based on the character of grace and mercy. 1. Neither is earned by human effort or merit. 2. Neither can be lost by human fault or failure. D. Salvation's permanence is based on the completeness of forgiveness. II. Rely upon the Preservation of the Savior. A. His work on the cross was complete 1. The promise of God was fulfilled. 2. The purpose of God was completed. 3. The person of God was upheld. B. The keeping power of the Trinity is comprehensible. 1. We are saved by the Son 2. We are sealed by the Spirit 3. We are secured by the Father. III. Trust the Predestination of the Saved A. "Predestination" is based on God's foreknowledge. B. "Predestination" assures a Christian of reaching Heaven. IV. Take to Heart the Reality of Security A. Be thankful that we are both saved and secure. B. Live in the reality of that security. C. Let security motivate to greater heights of service.
