Joshua 1:1-9

I.	He Was Committed to God's Purpose

	A.	He knew he was a part of God's unfailing purpose.

	B.	He became a part of God's unending plan.

	C.	His commitment allowed unparalleled participation.

II.	He Continued by Faith

	A.	Faith is the only means of participation in God's work.

	B.	Faith brings:

		1.	Strength for work

		2.	Courage to face challenges

		3.	Focus on rightness

		4.	Freedom from distraction

	C.	Faith results in prosperity.

III.	He Relied Upon Courage and Strength from the Lord

	A.	Man had fragile strength and faltering courage.

	B.	God gives perfect strength and pure courage.

IV.	He Walked in Consultation with God's Word

	A.	Anything contrary to or superfluous to God's Word cannot be of Him.

	B.	Those who follow the Word cannot fail because the Word does not fail.

V.	He Had Contemplation of God's Presence

	A.	His presence gives security.

	B.	His presence gives serenity.

	C.	His presence gives strength.
