Matthew 5:38-48


I.	First, we must Disarm our Enemies

	A.	Jesus was a master of removing weapons from his foes.

	B.	Four methods of disarming:

		1.	Resist not

		2.	Give more

		3.	Go farther

		4.	Share more


II.	The Second Step is to Display the Attitude of Jesus

	A.	"But I say..." shows the real authority

	B.	His example is the opposite of the world


III.	Finally We Must Destroy our Enemies

	A.	These acts of kindness toward enemies do these things for us:

		1.	They identify us as Christians.

		2.	They secure for us eternal reward and consequences.

		3.	They help us grow toward Christ likeness.

		4.	They allow us to be right with ourselves.

	B.	These acts help destroy our enemies.
