For our discipline 2. For our development 3. For a reminder of our dependence upon God. 4. For discerning the destruction of sin 5. For deepening out relationship to others II. Some Burdens are to be Shared A. This is a baros, a heavy crushing weight B. We may not be able to remove a person's burdens, but we can help lift them. C. The sharing of burdens provides opportunity for: 1. Utilizing of gifts 2. Understanding of others 3. Uplifting experiences 4. Undermining self centeredness 5. Undergirding fellow believers III. Some Burdens are to be Shifted A. Every burden, care and concern should be taken to the Lord in prayer. B. A burden "cast" upon the Lord brings: 1. Relief from fear, anxiety, and worry 2. Refreshing comfort from the Lord 3. Renewed strength and courage for service.
