Our mission is to enhance physical stewardship of our bodies through exercise; and to heighten Christian fellowship, and build relationships through contact in an informal setting.

"Do you know your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own: you were bought at a price.  Therefore honor God with your body." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

One of the ways we can honor God with our bodies is by eating right and exercising.  When our bodies are well taken care of and treated with respect, it becomes easier to discern  between what is important and what is unimportant.  With hard work and dedication, we can learn to set our priorities to what is pleasing to God.

When I first joined the evening fitness class I was almost 100 pounds overweight. Everything seemed difficult and I was afraid that I would be embarrassed. After the first class my fear went away. This class was exactly what I needed. I was able to work at my own pace and yet I always felt encouraged to keep trying. Kim is excellent at challenging us to do more than we thought we could, and then giving us the tools we need to do it. Through hard work and the support and encouragement I found in this class I have gone from a person who couldn’t do a single push up or run a mile to a person who has completed a ½ marathon and can do . . . more push-ups. Using the knowledge I gained during the Commit to Fit challenge I have also lost 80 pounds, and feel like I’m in the best physical condition of my adult life. This class isn’t magic, but if you come, accept the challenges, and don’t give up, it will help you achieve goals you never imagined you could achieve. This is no ordinary fitness class either. It is a ministry that God has used to change my life. -  Sarah Duree
